Common questions from Tarleton customers

Frequently asked

Do you fix Xbox Series X, Series S and Xbox One from Tarleton?

Yes — all current and recent Xbox models. Series X (the big black tower), Series S (the small white one), Xbox One S, Xbox One X. We don't typically work on the original Xbox One launch model — the cost of parts vs the value of those consoles makes it uneconomical for most jobs. If you're not sure which Xbox you have, take a photo of the back and bring it with you.

My Xbox Series X HDMI port has the metal shielding bent — fixable?

Yes. Series X HDMI ports are slightly more robust than PS5 ones but they still fail, and bent shielding from a heavy HDMI cable being yanked is one of the common patterns we see. Either we straighten and re-secure (cheaper) or replace the port entirely (£60). 5-minute drive from Tarleton, normally same-day.

Are Xbox repairs cheaper than buying a refurb?

For Series X and Series S, almost always yes — these consoles still hold £200-£350 second-hand, so a £60 HDMI repair or £35 deep clean is a fraction of replacement cost. For older Xbox One models the maths is closer; we'll always tell you straight whether it's worth it before we start. No-fix-no-fee diagnosis, so a 5-minute Tarleton drive over costs you nothing if it isn't worth fixing.

PS5 repair too

Got a PS5 as well?

We work on PS5 consoles from Tarleton just the same — HDMI ports, overheating, disc drives, no-power. Different bench, same engineer.
