No-power diagnosis

Completely dead Xbox? Component-level fault finding with thermal camera and current injection. Either fixed or no-fee.

Full Xbox pricing on the pricing page. No quote forms, no hidden fees.

Common questions from Ormskirk customers

Frequently asked

Is the 20-minute drive from Ormskirk worth it for an Xbox repair?

For HDMI port replacement, board-level no-power diagnosis, or anything micro-soldering related — yes. Most Ormskirk repair shops won't touch board-level Xbox work. Our Southport workshop does these jobs in-house with proper kit, same-day if dropped off before 2pm. For straightforward jobs like deep-cleans, the 20-minute drive vs an Ormskirk shop comes down to price and warranty — both of which we win on.

My Xbox Series S won't turn on at all — completely dead. Fixable?

Usually yes. Xbox Series S no-power faults are most often a failed PSU board (the small board that takes the mains input), a shorted capacitor on the main logic board, or a dead eFuse from a power surge. We diagnose using thermal camera and current injection — finds the fault in 20-40 minutes. Repair is component-level, normally £80 including parts and labour. No-fix-no-fee.

Do you work on Xbox controllers as well as the consoles?

No — controllers are a different specialism. Stick drift, mods and custom controller builds need different kit and we don't carry that on the bench. For controller work we recommend Nova Controllers Mods & Repairs in Liverpool — independent specialists with a strong reputation for stick drift fixes and Elite Series 2 repairs. Got a PS5 as well?
