Why us

Not a drop-off counter. A real workshop.

Most "console repair" in Southport is actually a drop-off point at a retail store, or a courier-in / courier-out middleman, or a mail-in service that sends your console to someone else's warehouse. We're none of those.

The kit that lets us fix what others won't.

Most console repair shops will swap parts. We do that too — but the jobs nobody else touches are the ones that need diagnostic equipment. Thermal cameras to find shorted capacitors. Microscopes for HDMI port micro-soldering. UART tools for PS5 error log clearing. Current injection for no-power faults.

Real reviews

What Southport customers actually say.

Every review below is from a real Google review on our business profile. No fakes, no incentives, no edits.

★★★★★

"HDMI port on our Xbox Series S was damaged, I rang around a few places and got quoted £80+ with a waiting time of several days. For £50 and same day repair I had an Xbox that finally worked again. He's very detail oriented and does a cracking job. A big thanks for being affordable too."

★★★★★

"Bought my PS5 to have a new HDMI port replaced. While they were doing that they sent me pictures of the liquid metal on the main chip that had bald spots on it. So for a small extra fee they sorted those problems as well. All of this within three hours of me dropping the console off. Best console repair centre in the area."

"Fantastic service from Graham. He got us in for repair of my son's PlayStation 5 straight away and it was fixed super fast. After looking at photos of before and after, it seemed in quite bad condition internally. Working perfectly again. Would 100% use again."

Questions we get asked

Frequently asked questions.

How long does a PS5 HDMI port repair take?

Most PS5 HDMI port replacements are completed the same day if the console is dropped off before 2pm and the replacement port is in stock. The job itself is a micro-soldering repair that typically takes 2 to 3 hours of bench time.

How much does an HDMI port repair cost in Southport?

PS5 HDMI port replacement is £60. Xbox Series X HDMI port is £70 (tighter layout, more disassembly). Xbox Series S HDMI port is £50. Prices are fixed and written on the pricing page — no quote forms.

Do you offer a warranty on repairs?

Yes. Every repair comes with a 6-month warranty covering the work we carried out. We don't offer 2-year warranties because they're unrealistic for soldered component-level repairs — 6 months is what the repair actually is, and we stand behind it.

Do you fix controllers?

No. Controller repairs need specialist kit and specialist hands — stick drift fixes, custom mods, and rebuilds are a different discipline. We refer all controller work to Nova Controllers Mods & Repairs in Liverpool. Proper premium shop, lifetime warranty on their stick upgrades, and we send every controller job their way.

What consoles do you work on?

PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 (all models), Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One S, and all Nintendo Switch models by arrangement. We don't work on PS3, original Xbox One, Xbox 360 or older hardware — the cost of parts vs. the value of the console means it's not economical for you.

What if you can't fix my console?

No Fix No Fee. If the repair isn't economical or can't be done, the console goes home with you at no charge. We diagnose first and only proceed if the fix makes sense for you.

Where are you based?

178 Gravel Lane, Southport, PR9 8BX. Open Monday to Friday 9:30am–7pm, Saturday and Sunday 3pm–7pm. Drop-off only — we don't do mail-in.

Need a controller fixed instead?

We don't touch controllers — stick drift, mods, and custom pro builds need specialist kit and specialist hands. For that work we recommend Nova Controllers Mods & Repairs in Liverpool. Proper premium shop, lifetime warranty on their TMR stick upgrades, and we send every controller job their way. No kickbacks, no affiliate links — just a recommendation because they do the job properly.
