Xbox repairs we do for Burscough customers

Real workshop, real bench, real micro-soldering

The most common Xbox jobs we see from Burscough and the surrounding villages — same prices as the main Xbox page, same-day turnaround, same warranty.

HDMI port replacement

The most common Xbox repair. Micro-soldering on the main board, new port fitted and tested. Same-day if dropped off before 2pm.

Overheating & deep clean

Full strip-down, heat sink and PSU clean, fresh thermal paste on the APU. Brings a console that crashes mid-game back to running cool.

Disc drive replacement

Disc-edition Xboxes with grinding noises, no-eject or read errors.

No-power diagnosis

Completely dead Xbox? Component-level fault finding with thermal camera and current injection. Either fixed or no-fee.

Eject button & power button repair

Sticky, unresponsive or failed eject and power buttons on Series X, Series S and Xbox One consoles. Membrane swap or board-level fix depending on cause.

Full Xbox pricing on the pricing page. No quote forms, no hidden fees.

Common questions from Burscough customers

Frequently asked

Are you Microsoft-authorised for Xbox repairs?

No — we're an independent workshop, not a Microsoft authorised service centre. The trade-off: Microsoft authorised work is more expensive, takes longer (mail-out plus queue), and is normally only economical if your console is still in warranty. Independent work like ours is faster, cheaper, and uses the same OEM parts where it matters. Burscough customers tend to choose us for everything outside the original 12-month manufacturer warranty period.

Series X HDMI port loose — does the whole console need replacing?

No, definitely not. A loose Series X HDMI port is a board-level repair, not a write-off. Either the port has come away from its solder pads (very common, fixable) or the entire port assembly needs replacement (also fixable, micro-soldering job). £60 fixed price. Same-day if dropped off before 2pm. Don't let any phone shop tell you the console is dead — it's almost certainly not.

Why are your prices so much lower than Microsoft's out-of-warranty repairs?

Two reasons: first, we don't have a corporate overhead — one engineer, one workshop, no tier of management. Second, Microsoft's out-of-warranty repair pricing is essentially a refurb-replacement model — they ship you a different unit, not the one you sent in, and the price reflects that. We fix YOUR console, on the bench, and give it back to you. Cheaper, faster, and you keep the saved game data on the original drive.
