Real workshop, real bench, real micro-soldering
The most common PS5 jobs we see from Tarleton and the surrounding villages — same prices as the main PS5 page, same-day turnaround, same warranty.
HDMI port replacement
The most common PS5 repair. Micro-soldering on the main board, new port fitted and tested. Same-day if dropped off before 2pm.
Overheating & deep clean
Full strip-down, heat sink and PSU clean, fresh thermal paste / liquid metal on the APU. Brings a console that crashes mid-game back to running cool.
3-beep UART fix (PS5-specific)
For consoles that beep three times and refuse to boot. Soldering to test points + UART log clearing. Fixed price. Few shops can do this.
No-power diagnosis
Completely dead PS5? Component-level fault finding with thermal camera and current injection. Either fixed or no-fee.
Disc drive replacement
Disc-edition PS5s with grinding noises, no-eject or read errors.
Full PS5 pricing on the pricing page. No quote forms, no hidden fees.
Frequently asked
How quickly can I get my PS5 back from Tarleton?
Drop it off in the morning, pick it up the same evening for most jobs. Tarleton to the workshop is about 5 minutes via the A565, so a same-day turnaround is genuinely realistic. HDMI port replacement and overheating deep cleans are typically same-day if dropped off before 2pm. Board-level work (no-power diagnosis, 3-beep UART fixes) usually needs a few hours longer.
Is my PS5 worth repairing or should I just buy a new one?
We'll always tell you straight. £40-£60 to fix an HDMI port or overheating problem on a console you've spent hundreds of hours on is a no-brainer. £80-plus board-level work on a launch-model PS5 with other underlying issues — sometimes not. The diagnosis is no-fix-no-fee, so a Tarleton drive over costs you nothing if it turns out it's not worth fixing.
Do you fix PS4s as well, or just PS5?
Yes — all PS4 models (Original, Slim, Pro). Same workshop, same engineer, same micro-soldering setup. PS4 HDMI port repair is the most common job we still do — the chunky pre-Slim PS4 was particularly prone to HDMI failure from controllers being yanked. Tarleton customers bring us PS4s as often as PS5s.
Got an Xbox as well?
We work on Xbox consoles from Tarleton just the same — HDMI ports, overheating, disc drives, no-power. Different bench, same engineer.
