Pricing · Southport PR9

Real prices, written down.

Every other console repair service in Southport hides their prices behind a "get a quote" form. We don't. Here is exactly what every repair costs, for every console we work on, with nothing hidden. If you came here after ringing round five shops trying to get a straight answer — welcome. This is what a straight answer looks like.

What's included

What the price actually covers.

Parts and labour

Every price includes the replacement part and all the bench time needed to fit it. No surprise "parts cost extra" calls after you've dropped the console off.

Full testing

Every repair is powered up and tested on a real display before reassembly, and tested again in full chassis before it goes back to you. No hand-offs of "should be fine now."

6-month warranty

Every repair comes with a 6-month warranty on the specific work carried out. If it fails within that window through no fault of yours, we'll rework it for free.

No Fix No Fee

If we diagnose your console and the repair isn't economical, you take it home at no charge. We don't charge a diagnostic fee for un-fixable jobs.

What you won't pay for

No hidden fees. Ever.

Here's everything we don't charge for — because a lot of repair services in the UK sneak these in and you find out at the till.

The thingWhat we charge
Diagnostic fee if we can't fix it£0 — No Fix No Fee
Call-out or assessment fee£0 — we're a workshop, not a callout service
VAT on top of the quoted price£0 — price you see is what you pay
Shipping or courier charges£0 — drop-off only, no postal service
Rush fee for same-day work£0 — same-day is the default
Warranty activation fee£0 — warranty is included with every repair
Multiple faults

Got more than one thing wrong?

If your console has more than one fault — for example a broken HDMI port and an overheating problem — we'll combine the work and give you a single fair price rather than adding the individual jobs together. The console only needs to come apart once, so you shouldn't pay twice.

A common example: a PS5 comes in for HDMI port replacement (£60) and we spot bald spots in the liquid metal while we're in there. Rather than quoting £60 + £40 = £100, we'll usually do the whole thing for around £80. You get both repairs, we only disassemble the console once, everybody wins.

This is one of the reasons customers leave reviews like Thund_r001's 5-star Google review — he came in for an HDMI repair and walked out with a fully deep-cleaned PS5 and a small extra charge instead of a surprise £100 quote.

Pricing FAQs

Questions about our pricing.

Why do you publish console repair prices when nobody else in Southport does?

Because you shouldn't have to ring round five shops to find out what a PS5 HDMI port repair costs. Hiding prices behind a quote form is something chains and middlemen do because they don't want you comparing. We publish every price because we're confident the work is honest and the prices are fair.

Are these the final prices or are there hidden fees?

The price on the page is the price you pay. It includes parts, labour, all testing, and a 6-month warranty on the specific work carried out. No diagnostic fees if we can't fix it. No call-out charges. No VAT surprises.

What if my console has multiple faults?

We'll combine repairs and give you a single fair price rather than adding individual jobs together. If you drop off a PS5 with a broken HDMI and an overheating problem, we won't charge you the full £60 + £40 separately — we'll sort both together for less because we only need to disassemble the console once.

What happens if the repair isn't economical?

No Fix No Fee. If we diagnose your console and decide the repair isn't worth the cost to you, you take it home at no charge. We diagnose first, quote second, and only proceed once you've agreed.

Can you beat a quote I've got from another shop?

Our prices are already lower than the competition on most jobs — Karmen Davies' review on Google literally says she got quoted £80+ from other Southport shops for an Xbox Series S HDMI repair and walked out of our workshop having paid £50 same day. We don't price-match because we're already priced where we need to be.

Do you charge different prices at weekends?

No. The weekend and evening prices are the same as the weekday prices. The only difference is the drop-off hours (Saturday and Sunday we open 3pm to 7pm instead of 9am to 5pm). Same prices, same warranty, same engineer.

Why is the Xbox Series X HDMI repair more expensive than the Series S?

The Series X has a tighter internal layout and significantly more disassembly to reach the HDMI port on the board. It takes more bench time to do properly. The Series S is a much simpler job so it costs less. We could charge the same for both, but honest pricing means charging for what the job actually takes.
